Nestle Tianjin New Investment Project: The First High-end Pet Prescription Food Factory

The 2020 Pet Industry White Paper shows that the number of people keeping cats and dogs in China reached 62.94 million in 2020, an increase of 2.8% over the previous year, making China the country with the most pets in the world. Therefore, Nestle announced an additional investment of RMB 230 million yuan (USD $35 million) on top of the investment announced last year, for building capacity to produce pet prescription food. In order to provide quality nutrition for sick dogs and cats, Nestle plans to build the first high-end pet prescription food factory in Asia and the fourth in the world. (Source: cj.sina)
