New Ingredients are Approved

Recently, the National Health Commission of China released document No. 5 of 2021, announcing that β-1,3/α-1,3-glucan, dihydroquercetin, Lactobacillus rhamnosus MP108, and Nannochloropsis Gaditana are approved as new food ingredients. β-1,3/α-1,3-glucan is colorless, odorless, and stable, with functions of immune enhancement and gastrointestinal tract improvement. Dihydroquercetin has a variety of biological activities in humans, including antioxidant, free radical scavenging, vasodilatory, and antibacterial effects. Lactobacillus rhamnosus MP108 is a proprietary strain developed in China for infants and children food that can regulate the production of individual immunoglobulins (lgA), help defend against viral invasion, and optimize immunity. Nannochloropsisgaditana contains protein, eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA), and other nutrients, but is not suitable for infants, pregnant women, and lactating mothers. (Source: news.21food.cn)
