Recently, Ali Health Research Institute released the “2021 Tmall New Insights on Wellness Trends”, which shows that current working professionals generally face sub-health problems such as hair loss and insomnia, and “wellness” has gradually become an immediate consumption need for the new generation of young people. According to the data, 32.7% of the post-90s respondents spend between RMB 100-200 yuan (USD $15.5-31) per month on dietary supplements, and 21.9% of the post-90s said they “have the habit of using dietary supplements for a long time.” By May 2021, the total dietary supplement market in China reached RMB 231.7 billion (USD $35.9 billion), making it the second-largest dietary supplement market in the world.
