Health Industry Data Analysis: Consumers’ Purchasing Channel

According to the 2021Q1 survey on the distribution of Chinese health care consumers’ purchasing channels, consumers mainly purchase health care products through pharmacies or online shopping platforms, accounting for 40.9% and 32.62% respectively. In addition, consumers also buy health care products through supermarkets or direct sales, accounting for 15.13% and 10.17% respectively.

The traditional consumption scene has laid the cognitive foundation of reliability, authenticity, and good quality in consumers’ minds, so it is not surprising that consumers buy health care products in pharmacies at most. However, it is worth noting that, with the development of e-commerce platforms, people’s recognition of the quality of online goods has increased, so online purchase of health care products will be the mainstream trend of future consumption.
