Recently, in order to solve the problem of excessive packaging of food and cosmetics, the State Administration for Market Regulation, in conjunction with the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and other departments, released a new “Requirements for Limiting Excessive Packaging on Goods” national standards. It not only redefined the “Packaging Void Rate”, but also adds the requirement for packaging costs that the cost of packaging shall not exceed 20% of the sales price of the product.
