The Research and Development of Traditional Chinese Health Food are Encouraged

General Office of the State Council issued the “Fourteenth Five-Year Plan” for the development of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM). The Plan requires that, by 2025, the capacity of TCM health services should be significantly enhanced.

The “Fourteenth Five-Year Plan” proposes to enrich the supply of traditional Chinese medical products by focusing on the research and development of health food, special medical use formula food, functional cosmetics, and daily chemical products. The Plan also emphasizes the need to optimize the clinical evidence system for TCM, and to establish a TCM registration review evidence system. (Source: shuzhengkangxun)
