China’s State Administration for Market Regulation issued an announcement on the cancellation of the health food registration certificate for Xuanshengtang’s “Sihuai Tangzhian Capsules” (Registration No.: G20041017). According to the “Inspection Report” of the national sampling of health food, this product contains ingredients of prohibited substances. In addition, punishments include confiscating more than 360,000 “Sihuai Tangzhian Capsules” and imposing a fine of RMB 2 million yuan (USD $280,000). Recently, many provinces, including Qinghai and Shaanxi, are also carrying out risk investigation and management of health food raw material extracts. (Source: shuzhengkangxun)
