On May 28, in line with the ongoing campaign to address corruption and misconduct in areas of public concern, the State Administration for Market Regulation (SAMR) deployed a nationwide special action to tackle false advertising in elderly-targeted medicines and health supplements. The campaign aims to crack down on deceptive practices that exploit elderly consumers. Local market regulators are focusing on medicines and health products for seniors, launching the “You Film, We Investigate” initiative to encourage the public to report suspicious behavior. This will help promptly gather and verify evidence, ensure fair enforcement, protect the rights of the elderly, and foster a healthier competitive market environment. (Source: SAMR)
