What is U.S. GRAS certification?

Following a rigorous scientific procedure, the panel concluded that Bifidobacterium animalis subsp. lactis BL-G101 andWeizmannia coagulans BC-G44, produced in accordance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), are safe for use as food ingredients in traditional foods at their intended use and dosage levels, qualifying them as GRAS substances.
