The China National Center for Food Safety Risk Assessment solicited public opinion on 13 new varieties of food additives, including 11 new varieties of amino acid food nutritional fortifiers such as L-selenium-methylselenocysteine and 2 food additives of fumaric acid and sodium acetate. Moreover, among the 11 new varieties of food fortifiers, there are 10 amino acid applications for infant formula, the formula for toddlers, the formula for infants with special medical purposes, and the formula for special medical purposes.
These 13 new varieties are: L-Selenium-Methylselenocysteine, L-cysteine, L-cysteine hydrochloride monohydrate, L-Cysteine hydrochloride, L-cystine, L-Histidine, L-Histidine hydrochloride monohydrate, L-lysine hydrochloride, L-lysine acetate, L-Phenylalanine, L-Threonine, fumaric acid, and sodium acetate.
