After a two-year transition period, on February 22, the “New National Standards” for infant formula were officially implemented. Known as the “strictest ever standards” in the industry, the new national standards have revised and supplemented the minimum and maximum limits of nutrient content in infant formula. According to the requirements, infant formulas produced after Feb. 22, 2023 must be re-registered by the Food Review Center of the State Administration for Market Regulation. As of Feb. 15, 316 formulas from 112 brands of 31 dairy companies have been registered under the new national standards. (Source: china.com)
