On July 16, 2024, the National Center for Food Safety Risk Assessment solicited public opinions on the new food ingredient Camellia Petelotii Culture. The deadline for submitting opinions is August 15, 2024. This ingredient is made from the leaves of the Camellia petelotii plant through processes including tissue culture, collection, drying, and grinding.
