Recently, FrieslandCampina Ingredients announced that its strain used for producing lacto-N-tetraose (LNT) has passed the safety assessment by China’s Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs (MARA). Following Aequival®2′-FL, another human milk oligosaccharide (HMO) product from FrieslandCampina Ingredients, Aequival® LNT, has made progress in its pre-market approval process. Both Aequival®2′-FL and Aequival® LNT are intended to be used as food nutrition fortifiers in early life nutrition. This also means that FrieslandCampina Ingredients will have the opportunity to further diversify the oligosaccharide structures in domestic infant formula milk powder through the golden combination of HMO and galactooligosaccharides (GOS).
