National Health Commission Issues Announcement on Eight “New Foods” Including Arabinoxylan

On August 5, 2024, the National Health Commission issued the 2024 No. 3 Announcement on “Eight ‘New Foods’ Including Arabinoxylan.”

The announcement includes three new food ingredients: Bifidobacterium Longum subsp. infantis M-63, N-Acetyl-D-Glucosamine, and Arabinoxylan;

Four new food additive varieties: 2’-Fucosyllactose, Hydroxytyrosol, Methylene Chloride, and Polyglycerol Ricinoleate;

And one new food-related product: a polymer composed of 2,2-Dimethyl-1,3-Propanediol, Terephthalic Acid, Ethylene Glycol, Isophthalic Acid, 1,2-Propanediol, Hydrogenated Dimerized (C18) Unsaturated Fatty Acids, 1,6-Hexanediol, and Trimethylolpropane, has been approved.
