In recent years, consumption channels for health products have shifted, with the share of direct sales gradually declining. Pharmacies, shopping malls, and online platforms (e-commerce) are now the mainstream channels for purchasing health products. Among them, e-commerce has become increasingly dominant due to its diverse product offerings and convenient shopping experience.
Overall, e-commerce has emerged as the primary channel for health product consumption. Data shows that in 2022, the market shares of e-commerce, direct sales, pharmacies, and supermarkets were 46%, 26%, 20%, and 9%, respectively. By 2023, the e-commerce share surged from 14.4% in 2013 to 56%, surpassing direct sales and becoming the largest consumption channel for health products. (Source: Beijing News)
