On February 21, Hong Kong-based Meyer FSMP received the Special Medical Purpose Food Registration Certificate from the State Administration for Market Regulation (SAMR). Its newly developed product, Meyer Complete—a Special Medical Purpose Carbohydrate Component Formula—was officially approved for market launch. This is the first medical food approved in the Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan regions.
This approval eliminates regulatory barriers for cross-border and regional registration of medical foods, streamlining the overseas approval process and compliance standards. Additionally, multiple all-nutrient and component-based medical foods originally developed by Meyer FSMP have entered the registration and approval process.
Meyer FSMP began its research and development of medical foods in 2016. Leveraging 50 years of pharmaceutical expertise from Meyer FSMP Hong Kong, the company has established strategic collaborations with leading pharmaceutical giants from Japan, the United States, and Canada. It focuses on the R&D and production of medical foods and nutritional supplements, with oncology nutrition therapy at its core. (Source: Danlu Capital)
