Recently, Morinaga Milk Industry announced the launch of its new functional food product, the “Cognitive Function Yogurt Drink”, scheduled to be released nationwide on April 15, 2025. The product is designed to support the cognitive functions that naturally decline with age. In recent years, there has been significant progress in gut microbiome research, particularly with the gut-brain axis, which describes the close interaction between the brain and gut. In 2015, Morinaga identified Bifidobacterium MCC1274 from its extensive collection of bacterial strains, believing it may have an impact on cognitive function.
