On April 17, the Hainan Provincial Bureau of Economic Development, the Provincial Administration for Market Regulation, the Boao Lecheng Pilot Zone Administration, and the Provincial Health Commission jointly held a press conference at the Hainan International Convention and Exhibition Center to announce the arrival of China’s first temporarily imported health food — Clinique La Prairie Holistic Health (CLP) Functional Nutrients from Switzerland.
The product is manufactured by Clinique La Prairie Holistic Health SA in Switzerland. It marks the second special food approved for temporary importation and use by Lecheng medical institutions, following the introduction of the first overseas special medical-purpose formula food in January 2025. The CLP Functional Nutrients will offer more nutritional options for wellness groups seeking to alleviate physical fatigue. This launch also represents the first health food approved for temporary use after the pilot zone introduced the first imported FSMP (Food for Special Medical Purposes) product earlier this year.
