Background

In 2021, China has expanded the health food filing dictionary, some functional ingredients such as Coenzyme q10 has been officially included in the filing dictionary, also DHA and protein may be included in the filing dictionary soon. A series of new regulations are assisting the health food filing to a new stage.

However, the functional evaluation test method for the registration process has not been implemented, how do the enterprises plan for new product registration becomes the focus. In the meanwhile, the authorities have published many food supplement label related regulations, and many of them have the big impact on the health food labels from 2022.

Based on the current complex supervision system of China health food, CIRS plan to host a series of webinar to summarize the latest regulation updates and share the experience of health food filing and registration, to assist the companies keep up with the new regulation updates.

Ms. Wing Yu graduated from Zhejiang University with Master Degree of Food Engineering. She has more than 7 years of experience in Chinese food regulatory compliance. At present, she is responsible for the technical work of health food registration and filing, FSMP registration, infant formula registration, novel food registration, new food additives registration, , and new food contact substance notification in China. Has successfully obtained the approval of a number of new products application, and accumulated rich practical experience in long-term work.

Ms. Yilei Shen, Food Regulatory Specialist

Ms. Yilei Shen’s major in university was food quality and safety. She is very familiar with food industry, and has extensive experience in China food and health food regulations. After joining CIRS, she has accumulated 6 years of experience in food regulation service and has provided food regulatory technical support for hundreds of domestic and foreign enterprises.
