The State Administration for Market Regulation, the National Health Commission, and the National Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine jointly issued an announcement regarding the “Catalog of Health Functions Allowed for Claims of Health Food – Non-Nutrient Supplements (2023 Edition)” and its supporting documents. This adjustment has reduced the previous 27 health functions to 24, removing three health functions: “improving growth and development”, “promoting lactation”, and “improving skin oil balance”. This adjustment will help reduce misleading claims to consumers and provide an additional layer of protection for consumer rights. (Source: baijiahao)
