Recently, the concept of “radiation protection” has once again grabbed the public’s attention. In China’s functional food directory, the description of related functions includes “anti-radiation” and “auxiliary protective functions against radiation hazards”. There are currently 157 approved health supplements with these related functions. The newly released “Directory of Health Functions Allowed for Claims of Health Supplements” standardized the above health functions as “auxiliary protective effects against ionizing radiation hazards”. If companies wish to apply for health supplements with this specific function claim, further animal functional experiments will be required. (Source: shuzhengkangxun)
