Under Alibaba Group, Freshippo is China’s first new retail platform driven by data and technology. Yao Mindi, the procurement manager for Freshippo’s own health product brand, revealed plans to establish a global supply chain. The strategy involves sourcing high-quality raw materials globally, processing them through overseas manufacturers, and then having domestic suppliers handle packaging. The initial collaboration products are scheduled to be launched in January next year, with prices expected to be around 70% of similar products already on the market. Throughout this year, Freshippo has established partnerships with nearly 60 top overseas brand suppliers. The sales growth in the “Global Shopping” business unit has reached 78%, providing a new channel for over 200 international brands to enter the Chinese market. (Source: new.qq.com)
