On April 4th, the China Nutrition and Health Food Association approved the release of 20 association standards, including “General Guidelines for Association Standards on Raw Materials of Health Food (1st)”. These standards will be implemented from April 10, 2023. According to reports, this group standard specifies the rules, requirements, and main contents for the development of Chinese herbal medicines used in health food. The raw materials covered in this release include goji berry, American ginseng, astragalus, ginseng, Poria cocos, kudzu root, ginkgo leaves, honeysuckle flower, cassia seed, Rhodiola, and Salvia miltiorrhiza.
