Strong Growth in Health Food Sales on TikTok E-commerce

Recently, TikTok e-commerce and Yicai Business School jointly released the “White Paper on Health Food Consumption Trends”. In the first half of 2023, TikTok e-commerce saw a 57% growth in the GMV (Gross Merchandise Volume) of health and wellness products. The “White Paper” summarized six major trends in the health food category, including balanced diets, nutritional supplements, immune system enhancement, light and healthy eating, fitness, and oral beauty. On the TikTok platform, in terms of consumer spending, the year-on-year growth rate for these six major health food trends exceeded 100%, with the number of paying users, active selling products, and the number of merchants all experiencing year-on-year growth rates exceeding 200%.
