In 2023, a total of 5,850 batches of health food supervision and inspection information were monitored by the State Administration for Market Regulation, various provinces, and municipalities directly under the central government. Among them, 5,839 batches were qualified, and 11 batches of products were found to be unqualified, with a qualification rate of 99.81%. In recent years, with the improvement of health food regulations and increased regulatory efforts, the rate of unqualified products has significantly decreased. Among the unqualified products this year, insufficient nutrient content became the main issue. According to the published inspection information, at least 30% of the products were produced under commission, from a total of more than 370 commissioned production enterprises. With the development of the health industry, an increasing number of enterprises are entering the field of nutritional health, and commissioned production is becoming the first choice for many brands.
