The “Regulations on the Implementation of the Consumer Rights Protection Law” Will Come into Effect on July 1, 2024

On March 15, 2024, Premier Li Qiang signed State Council Order No. 778, promulgating the “Regulations on the Implementation of the Consumer Rights Protection Law of the People’s Republic of China” (hereinafter referred to as the “Regulations”), which will come into effect on July 1, 2024. The promulgation of the “Regulations” aims to further clarify and strengthen the responsibilities of operators, improve regulations related to online consumption, and standardize consumers’ claims behavior, thereby more effectively protecting the legitimate rights and interests of consumers.
