Three New Products Accepted for New Food Ingredients

Recently, the National Health Commission accepted applications for three new food ingredients, including lutein esters, Luohan ginseng, and Saccharomyces cerevisiae CNCM1-3799.

Luohan ginseng is a rare crop, an exclusive specialty of Shanxian County, Heze, Shandong, and a national geographical indication protected product. It has a long history and culture, and the species is included in the “Dictionary of Traditional Chinese Medicine”. ( Source: National Health Commission )
