As of December 31, 2022, the statistics of the State Administration for Market Regulation and Food Review Center showed a total of 169 imported health food filings. Among them, only 7 numbered 2022, which is significantly reduced compared to previous years.
From the perspective of the place of import, 3 products successfully filed in 2022 came from Canada, 2 from the United States, 1 from Australia, and 1 from South Korea. From the perspective of the appropriate population, this year’s successfully filed health food targeted solely adults. Therefore, many imported health food enterprises do not want to give up the adjustment in the appropriate population or lack relevant reports or literature, resulting in the temporary suspension of the filing.
